scrt power

is anyone running a hong nor scrt10 on a brushless 1/10 buggy system or is it just to heavy for that and needs a 550 system?

Hi mate. I run a MMM 1/8 brushless system. The 1/10 was a bit too weak for the heavy truck.

My built thread here:

Thanks

Hi ran mine in 2010 at the dirt masters at coventry with an old novak 10.5 on kit gearing with a gtb esc, never got hot, plenty of speed and finished 3rd,
for the radio racecar shoot out put a novak 550 system in and didnt find much difference you just need to respect the throttle a bit more.

2cell,ive never tried a 3 cell pack but i can imagine what 3 cell would to to a novak gtb.

just ordered a hobbywing sc8 system to put in mine, will let you know how it goes :-)

i have seen the hobbywing 8 system but i only want to run 2s and the motor is a very low kv. so would be dog slow and i don't think you could gear it up enough to get the speed back

To be fair, I will first state that I'm only an average club racer - I've run an SCRT indoors and outdoors for a year and used a 540 size 9t motor and had enough speed to keep up with most of the other over powered 4WD's.

The only failing where the truck was concerned was me - handling the speed in the corners.....
