New P2 Chassis

The new P2 chassis that me and gazza designed and made was totally wicked at Ardent today taking a win and stayed 2nd all day the chassis was totally planted went super well this is what has been needed for circuit racers. those who doubted its would go any good well read the reports from people on rc circuit cars it was totally awersome:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

anyone wanting this chassis that your standard parts will fit on just pm me.

Is this allowed in the ardent series rules?

Karl Dransfield 27-11-2011 07:45 PM

It's legal for the Ardent winter series yes. The only rules stipulated for ardent are 1kg weight, 13.5t, blinky, 1s lipo and minimum 3mm ride height.

You know when it's due out?

Gazza 27-11-2011 11:18 PM

Wheel base and track width and tyres are as per Mardave so its in the same class so to speak . . .
yes its nice but we where asked no pictures and possable 3 to 4 months but more testing is still planned so just hang on guys

Gazza 28-11-2011 11:28 AM

Just to clarify Paul. . .

It did not win it took pole / TQ in the heats and 2nd on both finals due to me not having time sorting the car but talking to every cat and his dog about the Chassis but a good win for James I will try it properly on Tuesday club night now that the ohhh - ahhh - wowwwww 's are all done

Paulnuneaton 28-11-2011 04:13 PM

Sorry gazza like you say the pit table had every cat and his dog at our table on Sunday mate. Just think how it went sunday and thats without any super mods it was frigging awersome!!!!!

Love your work on the chassis, but will I still love it when I know the cost? Will it include the motor pod also?

what makes this better than the new mardave chassis?

Paulnuneaton 28-11-2011 07:56 PM

Just look at the results and the lap times it put in and that was straight off the drawing board and on the track

Aaron w 28-11-2011 08:17 PM

Didnt really answer my question.
Did you do a back to back with the mardave chassis?

Paulnuneaton 29-11-2011 04:18 AM

yes!!!!

TOMO WEF 29-11-2011 07:38 AM

The driver was Gazza but on the day he did not do a back to back run with the new Mardave vs the p2 chassis on that day with him driving, same Tyres, same speedo/motor, same servo etc etc. He ran against James carvell who he has raced for years and normally finishes just behind James but Gazza managed a very consistent run to take pole but did get out maneuvered by James having plainly more grip especially in the second final when the track temp drops.

Gazza 01-12-2011 11:38 AM

Yep as per Tomo I should have changed tyres but swoping so many things its hard to say whats what but again on Tuesday night club race again 1 full lap up on james

Its gonna be a fun week end to finally compete with the likes of Tomo- Karl - James etc but as long as its up there in the top 5 I will be well pleased . . Dont forget im in my 50's and not got the eye to hand cordination I Use to but if I did win ill be the first to say

" well knock me down with a feather "
