Hi Guys... How are you all doing?

Thinking of buying a B44.1 but a Gent from here has offered me a B44.

Now, I have a few questions...

Should I decide to go for this car, what should I be checking to ensure all is fine?

Is there much difference between the two cars?

Has anyone done the full conversion and is it expensive or even pointless?

I have heard that the diffs are completely different... How exactly?

Any other info I should be aware of?

Cheers in advance guys.... Kelvin

Hello :)

Check for wear on CVDs, wishbones, etc nothing really specific to this car

the 44.1 is a refinement so a few little changes nothing major, but they just make it better somehow

I didn't but some have modified the B44 chassis to make it the same shape as the 44.1 and moved the servo in. That's the biggest change, the rest are easy to do except for the shocks.
The V2 shocks are very nice, smooth and easier to build consistently, but I ran the V1s without drama and the v2 bleeder caps fit the v1 and make them easier to bleed

I have heard that the diffs are completely different... How exactly?
nope they are the same as far as I can see
Any other info I should be aware of?
can't think of anything
Cheers in advance guys.... Kelvin

Enjoy :)

Thanks Peetbee... Are you sure about the diff point though?

Also, it was mentioned that that should a brushless system be run in this car. Pinions would not have to be changed that often. Is that really the case with a brushless system?

If this is not the case, then is it possible to install the motor mount from a b44.1 into a b44? It just looks like a he load easier to change motors and Pinions.

Regards and respect to all, kelvin.
