Timing advance?

Hi all

Ok in general terms can anyone give me a breakdown of what affect "timing advance" settings on my sp lpf speedo will have on motor performance.

I'm currently running an 8.5 vampire ab+ brushless motor, should I be using the timing advance at all or just be leavingbit as standard? If I use it how do you determine which setting?

Any advise greatly appreciated

Elliott

What class, what surface, what size of track, how experienced a driver are you?

If you're doing a full race without crashing and need more speed then use it. Otherwise leave it off.

i simple terms more timing more top end speed less timing more low end torque

Thanks fellas

Wasn't sure anyone new what I was talking about for a minute!

Not a good driver yet! Not finishing a race without crashing so probably no need to mess with it, still nice to no what it does!

Racing indoors on fairly tight carpet track so I guess a lower setting if anything would be the way to go for max torqueness!

Cheers
