V3

Ran My V3 today. Totally kit built, what a car fast and settled straight out of the box, Did 12 laps in 307 at the MK GP today. (which is bloody good for me) The car was balanced and fast in and out of corners. Had a couple of electric glitches but got them sorted. Sadly the steering link popped off the steering mechanism, the car end not the servo horn end. Hope this is just a one off and not an issue. Has anyone had this happen is it a known problem or was I just unlucky.

I didn't crash on this race either. Any way it is an amazing car out of the box.

Well done TD.

Just need to se some more out now.

Thank you To James Rumble for the advice today and pip.

some people have a lot of problems with the ball cups even the HD ones. I changed all mine to rpm with AE ballstuds problem solved on the 410

That being said I also have a 210 with the HD ballcups and haven't had a single problem yet.

I have seen this a problem with the newer batches of 410 cars including the V3 with the HD cups. dibble at TORCH had the link between the servo and the servo saver come off just turning the steering on the start line. I have an original 410 from when they were first released and all of the ball joints have been replaced by Losi super duty natural ball cups and I used Schumacher ball studs all the way round to get rid of the problem but I have not had a problem with the servo link myself but am considering changing that especially in the 210 as I can pop that one off too easily! Thankfully the 210 one held at the MK GP on Saturday

When and where did you get your v3 kit? Im in America and haven't seen any v3 kits available since its initial batch back in September.

Anyone have an idea when the next batch of v3 kits is expected to come out?

I was lucky enough to get one from the first batch.

Awesome car straight out of the box even for a below average driver.:D

I thought you were selling this car after the MK? :eh?: Or did you cancel the eBay auction?

The Chef 22-11-2011 07:00 PM

I was planning to sell it after the GP but fell in love with it and there is no gaurntee that I would have another by Petit.
