Gear Diff in Centro?

Does the Gear Diff fit, I would need it for Indoor races.

It is possible to fit a gear diff in the centro box, i've done it and ran it today with no problems. You do have to grind out a lot of the gearbox tho, i put the bearings in then used a dremel to take it down to the level of the bearing. You will also need short chassis to gearbox screws and the lower rear shock tower screws need to be just long enough to go just into the gearbox case and no further as any longer than that and you'll bind up the diff.

So I'm wondering why you'd want to put the gear diff into the car?

It's a dry diff, so has no tuning options, making it an inferior diff to the ball diff in just about every way except for cost as far as I can tell (hence the reason the gear diff comes with the B4 RTR and the B4 FT has the ball diff in it!)...I'd just make the rear end really unstable surely?

Car is awesome with the standard ball diff that all the team drivers use...so why change it?

Odd I run diff oils in the gear diff in my 2 and 4 wheel drive and they don't leak.....

The B4 gear diff that's been talked about here isn't a an oil filled design though is it?

The b4.1 gear diff is the same part as the sc10 and sc10 4*4 gear diff yeas and they are sealed with orings and gasket.

The sc10 diff does tell you to use grease when building it, but it will hold oil as it has the o-rings and seal.

Im currently running 900cst as its thin enough to give good steering while thick enough not to push. Found thinner than this can make the car snappy under power and thicker can make it push off power as there isn't enough movement in the diff.

I use the bfast ball diff on most tracks. I know the advantages of a ball diff on dirt.

In Austria everbody is using gear diff on carpet, because the diff cannot slip and handles better in hair pin corners. Thats the same advantage like the durango in 4WD.
