It can be the 'the best' car in the world, if it can't race because It needs spares, it's usless and a waste of money.

jamiekerr14 19-11-2011 11:12 PM

What spares do you need, most bits are or were in shops like MB I have most bits now apart from Diff bits which are not in at all from what I have seen..

team n.o.m.a.d 20-11-2011 12:49 AM

are the wheels available?

TonyM 20-11-2011 12:50 AM

I need the following not in stock:-
  • Front and rear wheels (yellow)
  • A body shell (original split big time)
  • A wing - split
  • Diff rings - knackered the first set when the circlip popped.
  • Thrust washers + thrust race. Unless the geared diff arrives soon
  • Plus more
I'm really disappointed about the wheels. These are a fundamental item which everyone wants a number of sets of. I'd like to try mini-pins on the front, but I used my kit wheels on staggered, so stymied.

ive been getting my wheels from the us, there not durango's own, but better than none. only took 7 days to arrive to. pity they dont have the shells there either

jamiekerr14 20-11-2011 10:04 AM

Im not backup TD up in any wau. Diff parts are needed... as its vital! No idea if any other brands will fit or work for the time being tbh. Wheels.. RC Lazy had a fair few at MK yesterday.. so maybe shops are getting new one's in asap? I dont know. Wing-You have to run a stock one then?? cant you run a JC or something until stock is back out.

Luckily I dont need anything, I brought most spares when they were in. As I know it could be a while before spares start to flow again. But have spare JC wings.. and so on. But diff parts are my main worry tbh

pizzaman 20-11-2011 04:54 PM

cant run mine anymore until hinge pins come in stock. why so long for spares? gettin to be a joke now.

I was advised by MB that rear wheels should be in this week, but front wheels will not be part of the shipment.

Can anyone advise what they are running on the front other than Durango? With part numbers preferably.

jkclifford 20-11-2011 05:54 PM

very poor. Not happy.

having to run 22 hex and spacer set up, and use 22 rear wheels. And just spot the fronts so you can get them off easy.

Andrew Twigger 20-11-2011 06:03 PM

I agree that the spares support has been lacking but they could have withheld the cars until the spares were in full supply and then everyone would have moaned about that instead!

AmiSMB 21-11-2011 08:27 AM

Tamiya TRF 201 front wheels are the only other fronts that fit but you will need to put a spacer on the axle as the bearing spacing is smaller than the Durango rims. I have converted the rear of my 210 to pin fitment so I can use all of my tyres that I still have left. It is a pain regards to spares but I heard at the MK GP Durango sold 800 wheels in one day! The problem is that the car is very popular and they cannot keep up with demand at the moment.

Front Wheels

There are front wheels in stock at TD, these have been available for several weeks:-

Yellows front wheels will be in later this week.

TonyM 21-11-2011 09:44 AM

Thanks all re wheels. I've decided to convert over to white wheels.

luniemiester 21-11-2011 09:48 AM

The best is already out and durango are losing customers left right and center as they are slooooooooooooow.

jamiekerr14 21-11-2011 10:56 AM

Its the diff gears on (back order) there trying to do 1st :p

carrot 22-11-2011 07:40 PM

I am waiting for the gear diff to try although i have had zero issues with the kit diff. The kit ball joints are a bit rubbish though.

dirk702 23-11-2011 01:48 PM

Simply put an Associated B4.1 ball diff or the Associated SC10 2WD gear diff in your dex210 !
Only buy yourself 2 other bearings like these http://www.jespares.com/fixings?page...roduct_id=1699
and some shims like these http://www.jespares.com/electric-mod...oduct_id=10105
With these flanged bearings in the gearbox, you only have to use 2 x 4 shims and it fits perfect !
So you can run the car with no problems, I put the gear diff from SC10 in my dex210 and its very smooth
