Old Brushed / 40MHz kit... Worth re-using?

Hi all

I quite fancy getting back into RC - just bashing and mucking about with my mates rather than serious racing.

I like the look of the Ansmann Macnum Truggy and don't know whether to buy the RTR Brushless 2.4GHz car for £140, or to get the basic kit for £50 and re-use my old electrics.

This is what I have:

LRP V10 15x4 Brushed Motor
M DigiSport RV Max ESC
Acoms AR-221/40 40MHz Receiver
Acoms AS-12 Servo
Acoms Techniplus AP-202/40 Transmitter

So guys and girls, please let me know if this stuff is worth re-using, or whether the Brushless kit and 2.4GHz TX/RX that's included in the RTR pack would be a lot better?

I appreciate your responses :)

Cheers

Josh

I would use your old kit for now you can always upgrade later if you wish if you dont enjoy it again you have lost less cash

Thanks Dave!

Another quick question... Does anyone know much about that motor, and how it should be geared?
