c4.1 gearbox help

hi i have just done the gearbox but i can only turn the top shaft half way then it stops anyone know why

Yeah the layshaft catches the inside of the housing. Look at the post about the layshaft fouling started by Chris Long - you're gonna need to get your dremel out.
I had the same issue but all ok now.
