Allowable Orion Cells

Hi All,

I've been assuming that the Orion cell allowable in 2008 is the "EU08" one, which if you get from Orion is ORI11562, but I can't find anything on BRCA which says whether it is this cell itself or the other 4200 SHO cells Orion do which are legal!? Or am I wrong to think they are different (I have looked on Orions website)?

BUt if there are two different Orion 4200SHO types of cell, how do I know which it means on there? From the colouring?

I would assume the same as you, that the EFRA '08 version are the legal ones. But looking at the colouring on the heatshrink they look different to those on the BRCA list. (web = all blue, brca = blue/white) Now this could just be an old picture being used for advertising.

I've e-mailed the Electric Board for definate clarification. I'll post back when I hear the answer.

yep, the older non legal orions have darker blue colour were the white is on the 08 version!
the one's pictured on the orion site and various shops ie apex use the old version picture for some reason.

I presume you've had the discussion with PW already?? If so I'll not bother mailing him..

Hi guys, cheers for the help on this!

I have one set of ORI11562 and they are definitely blue and white, they are on Orions website too but haven't seen uk shop website pics!? I'm not sure if orions other SHO's are the same colours, but I think they may be blue all over?

Based on that colouring for the EU ones I'm guessing I am best assuming it is those which are the legal ones?
