Southport GP - 5th/6th August

Hi all, SRCC will be holding its Southport GP event this year on 5th/6th of august. info on the meeting:
Saturday
Free BBQ for all racers + free camping - please tell my self - in person, pm or email, or tell race control if you will be attending the BBQ so we can order the right amount of food.
I will post The time of the start of the saturday evening after i have asked what the 'racers' what is best for them, or people can post here what they feel would be best!
Sunday
Classes:
2WD,4WD,Trucks - if people wish to race vintage let me know, but i feel it is abit short notice for people to find one.

Booking in from 10am, racing starting at 11am

***Special Team Event***
Teams picked at random, each team consisting of Novice/Intermediate/Expert

1 lap each, break your car and your team is removed.
Top 2 from each final will enter an ‘Elite’ final with handicaps Novices +1 lap / Int +1/2 lap /Expert -1 lap (time dependant).

I wished to run a fun event for 'single' racers but the random choosing of teams will seem to work best.

Normal Race Fees - £3 juniors , £4 Seniors , £6 visitors, + £1 second class / Sprints Free.

Can't be there myself as I'm away but I genuinly hope this is a good event for you.

If you can get the atmosphere of 1990's Woodvale it should be great.

we are aware of the juniors.. but still plan for a successful event as alot of other racers dont attent that meeting..:)

stu from what im told the old GP was very.. very successful - we used to have drivers like kinwald and masami come to them :o

The GP is this weekend, we will be picking up food tommorrow which has all been ordered. I and a few others will be arriving at around 6 oclock to set tents up and anything else that will be needed.

the genral idea for most is to get there about 7ish for the BBQ, pleanty of food and drinks. and most of the southport lot are bringing beers and larger!

Booking in for racing in will start at 10 oclock on sunday.
