Ride height adjustment on 502X

How do you adjust the ride height on the 502x. Currently the front settles down to about 20mm but the rear is at 26mm. How do i get them balanced the same? Is it a case of putting limiters in the shocks?

I had to cut my tamiya rear springs think it was 1.5 coils to get the rear down I'm thinking about moving to ae springs hope this helps :)

As above, the rear springs (yellow i presume) need 1.5 coils removing. Its a bit silly really but its easy enough with some good side-cutters and works perfectly fine afterwards.

I found the same problem running standard tamiya springs. The car I bought second hand had cut down springs which solved the ride height issue but they rubbed on the shock housing as they did not sit completely straight.

I put a set of yellow kyosho springs on and they sorted the ride height issue and also felt good at TORCH track. :)

If you're a little handy with a plier/cutter combination, its possible to bend the cut coil into something that resembles what it was before it was cut. I avoids the spring rubbing on the shock body.

I've actually got the AE springs on it already. Greens rear and silver fronts. It handles ok so for now I'll live with it and then at the MKGP I'll have a nose round a few people's 502x's for some pointers :)

ae springs are the same length as tamiya i wouldn't cut the springs down as it changes the compresion of the springs take the adjusters off or put smaller ball ends on the shock shafts with lower spring retainers.

Most run yellow rears and blue fronts both indoor and out.

Also, I just searched through our stock and I found a pack of rear springs, bnip of course.

I really need to stock check, lol.

4mm limiters in the rear, one coil cut.

i use my durango springs on light blue on rear and dark blue front on my 502x which near enough the same as tamiya's springs and it fit spot on with no cutting
