Motor for a DEX410

Has anyone got experience of a LRP 5.5 octowind in a 410? I've just picked up a 410 secondhand and i'm going to run it with a SP6.5 to start with but I know i'm going to want more power in it, will a 5.5 LRP be ok on temps? Any other recomendations?

Tekin redline 6.5 is the only motor you will ever need.

i think the 6.5 will be fine mate really dont think 5.5 are needed anymore unless its a stupidly big track and nice open

A wise man at Stotfold recently told me not to be afraid of going for a higher turn motor and gearing it up..... :p

Thanks very much for doing my diffs yesterday by the way, I really appreciate it!

No probs, only took a few mins to set them.

As for the motor, well that's very much a case of do as I say not as I do....

A 6.5 with a 22 pinion on stock spur is more than enough, and in case you need more speed you could always set some turbo timing on the ESC.

A 5.5 is way too much unless you're a talented driver. For me it was more broken parts, impressive at first for sure. Some very good drivers told me it's all about the right trajectory, not the speed between corners.
