S2 & Atomized B44 update

We should be running at least two pre-production versions of the S2 and Atomized B44 at Coventry this weekend. This will be the final test for the cars then i can hopefully sign off the designs, and start production

If you racing at Coventry you are more than welcome to have a look at the cars, and if there is time at the end of the meeting, have a go with my S2.

hi jonathon, good news! Any chance you will be at the broxtowe meeting the week after?

thanks, john

Yeah get on. Cant wait for more on this b44

Jonathon, is there any chance of spacing the cell a bit further apart on the S2?

I realise you are limited by the size of the tub but I noticed when I saw some pics of the car that the cells are extremely close together.

Personally, I'd be willing to sacrifice a tiny bit of performance to gain some peace of mind with regards to cells shorting out ;)

Good God:o would you be willing to let this animal loose with your S2:p.
I'd give it a good strength testing;)

On my S2 there is around a 3-4mm gap between the cell bars, if i used battery bars which are straighter then that would increase, if somebody wanted a tray with the cells a further 2mm apart for example when i could make a one off for them, but of course the cell bars would then be closer to the outer tub wall. If you just popped a little insulation tape on the bars that would stop any chance of them shorting.

The top decks have changed a little since these photos.

how stiff is the Atomized B44 chassis, does it bend and flex much??

Lee 22-02-2008 11:17 PM

its a tub so i would imagine it would be very stiff;)

If you mean the pics of my S2 they do look closer together on the pic than in the flesh. If you want to have a look up close & your at Worksop on Sunday just come on over.
