stock esc question

i got myself the rtr b4.1 and it comes with the esc and the 3300 brushless motor. I was thinking of getting the 6100 motor and was woundering if i could still use the same esc because when ive checked the combos they all seem to have the same esc anyone any ideas

Yes, you can.
But why would you want to go from 3300kV, which admittedly is a *bit* underpowered, to a 6100kV  It'll be mental.
Why not go for something in between, say 5000-5500kV.

FWIW i can get the 3300 to flip straight on to the roof with the right set up and decent (grippy) tyres. It just runs out of grunt at the end of the straight of our clubs outdoor track.

Spend £10 on a bigger pinion and small spur gear?

I got good results from my car by just sticking a 26 pinion on it.
See if some one will lend you one.

Honestly, anytime you're going to upgrade the motor (and ditch the stock motor) then by all means upgrade the ESC as well (Stock esc = stock motor, period) --- and frankly, if you're new (as in purchased an rtr) I'm guessing the 6100kv is way more motor than you can handle..... unless you're just bashing or want to practice your donuts. :woot:
