Losi ball cups on 501X
Will the original tamiya ball stud fit the Losi ball cup? and will the orignal turnbuckle fit on Losi ball cup? THX:thumbsup:

I tried this Eddie, and it was really tight...so tight the ball cup wouldn't move at all!
I had to fit Losi ball studs in order to use Losi cups. Russ. |
Ive got a pack of LOSI ball caps (LOSA6015) i want to use, have you got a size/pt no for the one's you used Russ.

I got Hot Bodies D4 ball studs for my 501X to use with the losi ball cups. Yokomo ones work also I'm told

I'd agree with Jimmy on this. The losi ball studs are imperial and although can be made to fit in the metric threads of the TRF, they tend to come loose a lot and the fit is less than ideal plus not good for the thread obviously.

Where can i get yokomo or hotbodies ball stud and Losi ball cup? and can i use the oriangal tamiya turnbuckle with losi ball cup? thx

Try the HotBoddies website for the manual in PDF, find the part number, find a shop - google is your friend. Flea-bay might have them too. You need to get at least two more packs of cells too - which is probably more important right now. I noticed you repeaked the same pack 4 times on Sunday and you did it at 8A!!! This is really really bad - you're asking for trouble, especially with those IB4200 (which have been known to explode causing a lot of damage!!!) :cry::thumbdown:. If you carry on like that it will end in tears for sure. Ever seen an exploded pack of IBs? At best your cells won't last very long charging at 8A and you'll need new ones sooner, which can get expensive. Keep an eye on the for sale section on oOple, someone will be getting rid of some that should be in reasonable condition. Or you could post a wanted add. |

You can expect to pay between £10 and £20 for a pack, depending on how good it is. It's worth spending more in the long run. Saying that though, even with fairly old cells (like 1 season old) you won't really notice the difference, especially with that 4.5 brushless. Got some losi ball cups and Hot bodies D4 studs for use on my Tamiya but found them a very tight fit which make the suspension and in particular the steering very stiff.
Am I missing a trick or something. i have greased them a little but found does not make much difference. Any ideas what to do would be much appreciated. At the moment looking at putting the old set up back on to solve the problem |

Problem solved, polished the ball studs with 400 wet and dry paper, worked fine after that
