+1, without a visual reference it's impossible to say

But if radio gear has previously worked in another vehicle, "interference problems" are almost always as a result of a sloppy install and 'pile of spaghetti' wiring and wires cris-crossing themselves. If your wiring is cleanly done, one last thing you can try is making sure your receiver is as far away from your esc as possible, and actually doubling up (double layer) on the servotape used to hold down your receiver (old school trick), and getting yourself some kind of "glitch buster" capacitor to plug into the battery port on your rx.

When I used 27mhz I had interference when the PT was too close to the receiver because it gives out it's own signal. I don't know if you use one?

We had problems with 27mHz in a B3, put it down to the carbon in the plastic the car was made from, electrics worked in other cars, moved everything but still interference, changed to 40mHz and interference went away (this was before 2.4gHz).

Not saying it is, but this may be part of it. You can try to move the receiver away from the motor & esc, try different crystals, or go for a cheap 2.4Ghz system. Best of luck with it, I can remember swapping receivers, cables (poor connection?) batteries, motors.............. nightmare

2.4GHZ

+1 on the 2.4GHZ suggestion, banish a loud of glitching problems with 2.4 :) not completely faultless but really do take the 'I'm driving my car via morse code' feeling out of your hobby lol best of luck
