Charger recomendations

Hi All

What is a good 240v and 12v charger for lipo etc for a budget up to about £80.

Preferably I want one with a fan in it.

Cheers

The Schumacher UAC50 seems popular 12v/240v 6 amp charge rate.

Just got me one of them, and very pleased indeed. Came with more leads than you can shake a cell at (including balance plugboard), has a good clear screen, easy to use buttons, and the same guts as my absolutely excellent Bantam BC-6.

For the price, very good value as well as being small and light, and having a neat little plug to connect it to a 12v or a power supply. Definite buy from me. HTH :)

core RC 50 is indeed a great charger works of 12 volt or 240
the core RC udc40 is very similar but 12 volts only and 5 amp charge max both are great reliable and cheap

Cool, does it have an internal fan for cooling?

I am looking at this or the xbase2 deluxe

I have the Xbase 2.0, not the deluxe and my friend has the deluxe, Not much difference between the two apart from the deluxe has the power supply built in whereas the standard has a seperate power supply included (like a laptop power supply) Strangly the standard one comes with usb connection for whereas the deluxe doesn't. I believe they are the only differences though.

Save yourself the money and just buy the standard one

Cheers guys, ordered the Schumacher in the end :)

I was replacing a powerpal which literally went up in smoke! I tried to contact etronix and they have ignored me so I would not recommend one of them to anyone.. Poor service and in 30 years I RC I have never had a charger go pop!
