Do you mean brand of shock oil or are you looking for a set-up?
G |
d4
both
|
There are a lot of good set-ups on the HB Europe site here:
http://www.hbeurope.com/setups.php?partNo=61410&lang=en Those set-ups use Edit oil, which I have just started to use. G |
I used to use washing up liquid when I ran out of oil back in the oldern days.:eh?::woot:
Think I'll have to get some of the Edit stuff now too. |
ive been using the associated oil, is the edit stuff better for the d4 shocks?
may get some if it is |
The 'gaps' between Edit oils are more linear. As linear as you can get when messing with fluid viscosity.
The Edit oils are measured in cst or 'centistrokes' to give it it's proper name. Associated and many other oils use wt or 'weight' systems. This is entirley upto the manufacturer as to what 35wt is. Losi and Associated 35wt is not the same... it's scary how far apart they are. Associated now print the cst rating on their new bottles, but they still use the wt method predominantly. So the increase in viscosity between 25wt and 30 is different between 30 and 35wt!!! Edit oil is more linear allowing a more progressive change in the setup of your car. Any questions class?....... G... stop smurking and get back to Fisting!:woot: |
Try using Associated oil until HB can release their own :)
|
when is the Edit oil out Adam (now?) and perchance will someone make a chart so we can adapt setups? I'm used to the AE oil, but I don't like the new bottles (neither did my eyes) and fancy a change
|
Jimmeh, it's out now (As Adam informed me the other day...)
As Adam says the CST rating is now on the AE oils (although I suspect it rounded the nearest "neat" number), so you could use this to convert. Or.... Adam may just be able to supply you with a conversion chart. |

The old losi bottles have a cst rating on them as well, good for a comparison i guess??
|
