Tips for fading please pro's!
Have you pro's got any tips as to how to get a real nice smooth fading job going from flo orange to flo yellow? Thanks in advance
|
lay the airbrush back a bit so it at about 75 degrees to what your painting, and spray along a invisible line thats were your fade will be,and same back in other direction other colour,
|
If you're trying to fade from one end of the shell to another and have a gradual colour change I'd over thin the paint, and also as you're spraying (say we're going from orange at the front to yellow at the rear) be closer to the shell at the front with the orange and gradually pull away. Then fade the lighter yellow over the top, maybe go back with some orange to deepen if you need to.
Hope that made sense and helped. If you're trying to go for more of a soft edge on a design what BigRed said above is perfect. |
Cheers guys:thumbsup: it's what I thought, just wanted confirmation. Thought of mixing another in-between colour too.
