newbie associated shock question
hi to all associated fans
back into offroading with my boy (driving)we have a b4 and a b44 what is the difference between V1 & V2 shocks and how do i tell what i have ? apologies if there is a thread somewhere but i cant find one (but i am dense ) regards dave |
V1 the internals are installed via the shock body.
http://www.m-k-racing.com/images/as9312.jpg V2 the internals are screwed in from the bottom. http://www.myrcbox.com/wp-content/up.../v2_shocks.jpg If you car is more than 1 year old more than likely have the V1 shock. MiCk B. :-) |
thanks Mick
I have V1 on both cars do i need to upgrade if i can afford to at some point ? i do have shock bleeder caps on B44 is this worth putting on the B4 aswell sorry for all simple questions dave |
Dave,
Havent used the v2's myself so cant comment on them but i would get a set of the bleeder caps. Much easier to bleed shocks  |
It depends on "sanity" of your shock rebuilds, If you regularly change o-rings, V2 provide MUCH easier way of doing so.
Bleeder caps were already mentioned, besides, V2 also have longer shafts |
