newbie associated shock question
 
hi to all associated fans

back into offroading with my boy (driving)we have a b4 and a b44 what is the difference between V1 & V2 shocks and how do i tell what i have ?

apologies if there is a thread somewhere but i cant find one (but i am dense :thumbsup:)

V1 the internals are installed via the shock body.

V2 the internals are screwed in from the bottom.

If you car is more than 1 year old more than likely have the V1 shock.

I have V1 on both cars

do i need to upgrade if i can afford to at some point ?

i do have shock bleeder caps on B44 is this worth putting on the B4 aswell

Dave,

Havent used the v2's myself so cant comment on them but i would get a set of the bleeder caps. Much easier to bleed shocks :thumbsup:

It depends on "sanity" of your shock rebuilds, If you regularly change o-rings, V2 provide MUCH easier way of doing so.
Bleeder caps were already mentioned, besides, V2 also have longer shafts
