B44 front wheels don't fit?

Got some 9767 but when done up tight the wheels won't go round. The hex is on square and the pin in place.

Any idea's?

have you any shims either side of the bearings that could be spacing it back too much?

Dudders 15-10-2011 07:53 PM

No Shims, just axle/bearing/bearing/hex/pin....

Have you got a crush tube in ? If not, thats why

Robbiejuk 15-10-2011 08:10 PM

Ermm shouldn't there be a crush tube in there to?

Dudders 15-10-2011 08:30 PM

Gone to look!

Yup, sorry, right in there where it should be. The wheels are slightly dished, assume this normal? Really odd this one! It's almost as it the wheels (where the hex goes) protrudes too much and hits the axle knuckle.

Nei, are they definately original AE wheel hexs and not thinner Losi ones you have on the car. The AE hex on the B44 is thicker than that found on the XX4 or XXX4 from Losi (easiest way to tell is take a hex off and drop it into the hex in the wheel, if it is shallower than the hex area in the wheel it is Losi one)

Losi wheel hexs for sure 100% (the pin is almost flush with the outer part of the hex, on the AE hexs the pin is approx in the middle of the hex).

This is also why you have so much axle showing after the hex too. For now put two of three 3/16 axle shims over the axle (between hex and wheel) and this will be a temporary fix. You only want to see approx 1mm of "plain" axle before the thread starts....

Thanks Darren. To be honest I've had enough of this dog now. Seriously grumpy after buying this in good faith as a B44 with .1 parts and hops up. Umberfuckingleavable..... really annoyed now. Spent 7 hours in total stripping and rebuilding this. Going to try and get a refund or some re course now.

Thanks pal.

Who did the car come from?
I'm unabe to find any negative feedback.

Dudders 16-10-2011 07:46 AM

Col

Not left any feedback yet. Awaiting new from the vendor to sort this all out before going public.
