Racing 16th Oct

Hi everyone, are we still on for racing on Sunday at Bury? Weather is looking dry so hopefully should be fine.

Howler 14-10-2011 01:52 PM

I thought it was off? But if it's not, i'll be there :) Weather looking ok for once!

minke 14-10-2011 01:57 PM

I'll be coming down. At the very least we can get the track set up and have a practice day

Howler 14-10-2011 02:29 PM

Sounds like a plan then. So long as i have one of my cars fixed...

The race controller 14-10-2011 10:42 PM

Transponders

I'll put the transponders on charge but I won't be there as I've made other plans for the afternoon.
See if you can get number two or three race controllers to pick up the stuff.

P.S. a provisional calendar is on the website.

Howler 14-10-2011 10:52 PM

I can pick up the stuff if you want Roger?

Mike, what time are you getting there to open up?

minke 14-10-2011 10:58 PM

I need the keys, so I can pick em up with the equipment from Rog. Can be at the track anytime. 10/10:30 ish I was thinking

Si Coe 14-10-2011 11:17 PM

I hadn't got as far as telling my wife there wasn't any racing this weekend, so she hasn't made me any other plans yet!

So that means I'm free to race or race control or both. Badly.

coleman758 15-10-2011 07:45 AM

Unfortunalty I can't be there, to do race control. :(

Howler 15-10-2011 02:51 PM

Si, i'll be there tomorrow, but looks like i'll have none of my stuff running (most of it's for sale on here! decided to stick to the Losi SCTE and flog the rest), so i can help with race control while you're racing if you show me how.

Is the losi scte that tough truck based on the losi 8 that you have??

Si Coe 15-10-2011 06:32 PM

OK, well you might not need to help with actual race control, since I can set that on auto. More of a problem is that I'm only allowed to go if I bring my son along, who's only 15 months, has a toddlers lack of attention span and causes chaos everywhere he goes.
So more than assistant I need a babysitter!

Yep, that's the one. Its proving a tough thing to get parts for, but it should be sorted for next week.

Si Coe 15-10-2011 08:00 PM

Yep, that's where i ordered the bits from, cancelled my UK orders i've been waiting about 6-8 weeks now.

I run a 550 4-pole motor, so its fast as on 3s, but it just doesnt rev high enough on 2s, so being stuck on 3s it's not BRCA legal, therefore no regionals for my truck :(

budfish 15-10-2011 09:55 PM

Don't tekin do sc esc combo???Then again it's the weight of the thing what's it weigh??

Howler 15-10-2011 09:58 PM

Yeah, they all do, you can get 550 2-poles which run ok on 2s, but just ok, need 3s to make a 6.5lb truck properly fast.

shortcoursegoat 15-10-2011 10:08 PM

never heard of any losi drivers complain about power when running the tekin setup, especially now with the new 540 4poles, which all run on 2s for roar rules. 3s is for bashers who like to replace gears alot lol

ps 550 4pole motors are illegal also need 540 4 pole to be legal ;)
