quick couple of questions concerning the s4 not the s2. matt, why are you the only one in the team using the extended "topdeck"?? also, im thinking of buying an s4, would it make a big difference if i used AE shocks and mounted them on the front of the wishbones rather than the rear?
thanks a lot |
Matty: How many of the 'TEAM' drivers cars have you looked at?
I nearly always ran the topdeck on my S4, Doughty hardly ever ran it, JCB I think prefered the short top deck and JC sometimes had long, sometimes short. It stiffens the front of the chassis a little, it was only intended to support thr front end when landing big jumps but I found it gave the front a tiny bit more feel but a touch less steering which suits me. |
hi craig, ive seen pics of jons, matts, doughtys, jcbs and none of them [apart from matts] seemed to have the longer one on from what i saw. maybe its just the pictures ive seen.
thanks for your help |
Hi Mat sorry its took so long to get back to you, Ive been in Milton Keynes since last Sunday night!
Like Craig said I ran the long top deck because when I tryed them both off the track it made the car have less flex which I thought would good as the car has lots of steering  but since Coventry a few weeks ago I'm now running the short one :D which just seamed to give a little more steering when it was slippery! |
