Dex210 Arrived!!

Picked up today from MB models and started building as I am off work today:thumbsup:

As I am building there seems to be a few screws and washers missing in the bag in line with the instructions. Will keep building and see if they are in a different bag as I go along. If anyone else finds the same problems let me know. So far missing 705005 x 2, 709032 x 2, and 704007 which I have but is not threaded.

So is it a complete kit? does the instructions say it's missing bits?

MarkLeeds 11-10-2011 03:05 PM

No it's a complete kit. The bags are labeled A, B,C etc so as you follow the instructions you use the parts from each bag. The problem is that there are a couple of screws and a couple of washers missing from the bag they are supposed to be in. It may be that I have some left over from other bags, that match the ones missing at the beginning. I'm only up to page 19 so will see when I continue build later on. but at the minute I am missing the screws and washer that hold the front axal in the hubs and a screw from the underneath.

Screws I'm fine with, I've got loads of them but the washers could be an issue.

Are they not in the seperate bag as shown in the RC lazy vid?

Hi Mark,

let me know if they don't turn up later on and we will get you sorted!

Yes everything are in separate bags just not the correct amount so far. Also when screwing the camber ball joint balls to the front wishbone don't overtighten them as I have split one of them already as when using the Allen key screw driver, you can't screw it in straight as the top wishbone hanger is in the way, page 15 left hand diagram. Probably better using short end of a regular Allen key. :)

gainsy 11-10-2011 04:09 PM

What are the size's of the drivers you have used for the build? im coming from imperial so want to get the right metric sizes :)

paulc 11-10-2011 05:07 PM

Should be mainly 1.5 and 2.0mm 7.0 and 5.5mm nut drivers

I've just built the gearbox and I'm very impressed with how smooth and solid it is (used RC Lazy Ceramic Balls). I really like the encased thrust bearings, no more fiddling with individual balls ---- Oooh Vicar!!!

The amount of room inside is very impressive. No need to shoe-horne in the electronics, or having to buy silly 'dwarf' lipo's.

Just finished building the front end and my kit also has screws missing from the stub axles !

Not far to go, shocks are built. Dropped the shell off at Nagy Designs, one less job for me to do!

Will you be running this at Taplow on Friday? Would be good to see.

Thrust bearing

Does the manual indicate thrust bearing size?
