chris brown 10-10-2011 10:44 PM

What gave you that idea? I've raced there a few times before.

Chris56 11-10-2011 08:17 AM

They did a great indoor off-road series on a sunday last autumn - loads of our club members went along. Track might be smaller than ours but its a great place to get some practice in - 4 hrs track time for £5 :thumbsup:

Fail.

Yep, totally crap place, tiny track, useless people, not sure how or why they get so many people going to it!! They must be doing something right eh?? Maybe they don't bitch about others and just focus on themselves instead, or maybe it's the good racing and fun people have there? I don't know and I don't care, we just run it the way we want and if people come, they come. We did it for ourselves and if other want to enjoy it then great, it's there for all to enjoy. If you hate it then great, that's your choice, have fun!

Who is that aimed at? Everybody from our club who has been has always given a glowing report. Plus you can turn up and as chris said pay and practice any day during the week. I would love to be able to leave our track down all week and let people run on it.

Sounds like the rumour mill has been running overrtime again.

Think it was aimed at the person claiming that nobody from our club likes Ardent (which is clearly untrue given the replies!)

Robbiejuk 11-10-2011 12:35 PM

Is there anything there on friday nights? Might pop up and have a butchers on friday as I have never been.

is that not john who owns Ardent

tkd 11-10-2011 10:33 PM

The impression I got must be wrong, when ever I mention the palce no one skeaks so highly of it. I must stop talking to the wrong ones. As for me I love the plaace I go as least twice a week, and last week took all the young on road lads there for there 1st time, and they loved it

Yes rob they do do Friday nights and there a few lads that do that f1 thing you got.

tkd 11-10-2011 10:34 PM

And yes I would think that was john

Only criticism I ever heard was that it was very high grip  and that if you went off line your car got covered in marbles. I suppose there is an answer to that, set your car up properly and don't go off line

Might pop along on friday depending on when we are moving stuff to NWSC, probably won't be racing though.

Captain-Codpiece-The-2nd 12-10-2011 02:44 PM

Another answer is to not play marbles on the track

jamie 6.5t 12-10-2011 07:27 PM

Robbiejuk 12-10-2011 07:51 PM

jamie 6.5t 12-10-2011 07:58 PM

rob matey i have never drove so fast and perfect tkd helped me sort my car out and with all the camber and pinions setup i did a 17 second run which is a massive improvement i think i was doing 25 seconds with the tamiya just need to pick myself up a lipo my batteries have had it i had to not finish 3 races cos my batteries were just dieing unbelievable how good handling it is :wub

Robbiejuk 12-10-2011 08:58 PM

 Xrays are awesome pieces of kit. Had two myself and loved both of them. Joe has my t2008 and is doing well with that.

Keep up the practice :)
