Help with battery choice for Mini

Hi all

Some of you may remmber me from a few years ago, Michael Isaac's. some of you may not. Well i managed to pick up a bargin mini and though i would give it ago again.

But the battery i have with it, 1300Mah nicad, is ok but i dont think it will last 5 mins racing so im looking at getting a new one.

Any ideas on what to get and keeping to a buget.

I have seen the Core rc lipo 3000mah 20c for about £26 and was wondering if these are any good.

Just so you know im running a 27 turn brushed motor so im looking for a battery to go with that etc.

Hope to see you all this friday if i can get a battery by then

Many thanks Michael

Hi Michael, the Core RC Lipo will work just fine in a mini with a 27T. Just bear in mind that you will need a charger capable of charging Lipos (if you haven't already got one). It is also recommended that, if you don't have a Lipo-compatible esc, that you run a low-voltage cutout (or make sure that you don't completely discharge the Lipo beyond 6v).

I have a set of 3700 Nimhs you are welcome to borrow on friday if you can't get anything sorted - just pm me before tomorrow night and I will put them on charge.

I'd try these. Never had them before so dont know what they are like but they look like they are good.

Hey michael, how you doing?

How much was the lipo from PBM?

Don't have a buggy atm or any batteries :/, will pop down to them tomorrow if I get a chance.
