Welcome!

Make sure the ESC is plugged in on CH2 on the receiver.
and the steering servo in CH1.

Maybe you need to set the neutral points, best off taking it back to the shop!

First thing, what kind of esc are you running?

Typically when this happened to me I needed to do the following:

Ensure your transmitter is on, all trim and settings set to default

Plug the esc and servo into the correct channels, throttle is usually channel 2 and steering channel 1 - make sure it is not in channel 3

Switch on the esc and bring it into the mode that allows you to set the throttle.

Ensure nothing that can cause interference is nearby (eg a transponder, microwave etc)

Set your throttle as per the esc interactions.

That should resolve it.

It's all the standard stuff a ansmann r4 receiver and a sirius se everything plugged into correct channels but now it won't work at all lol

Ok got it working but it just cuts out randomly and starts up again

OK it could be the ESC just needs to be set up correctly. Best way i find is to switch the ESC on & hold down the set-up button, then plug in the battery, rather than trying to set it up by switching on & trying to press the button when the red & green lights are flashing.

Plus check the switch, the speedo in the RTR brushed Ansmanns tend to be rebadged Mtroniks units which have p!$$ poor switches & the wire to the switch is really flimsy & tends to break or come away from the switch.
