1258 is now being weird
Ok. So i got a voltage cap for my speky rx as per my previous thread. Plugged it all in and now the servo works with no obvious glitching.
BUT when the servo moves is makes a horrible statticy sort of noise ane if i leave the epa at 100 when i turn the wheel the servo makes a high pitched whine at its end point. This goes when i turn down the epa to 75-85. Is any of this normal? First time with a"proper" servo btw. John |
Hi John
glad you got problem 1 sorted  Ok now problem 2 this weird noise , is the servo attached to steering. if so its possible you are trying to overdrive it . if you are at the mechanical limit of travel and the servo is still tring to move it more it will cause the servo to "strain", by reducing the epa you are taking the load off the servo digital servo can have a habit of buzzing it can be normal i stand to be corrected on that 1:D regards dave |
That sounds about right, All the digital servos we have had and have do this

All digital servo's make a glitchy noise, just make sure your end points are set correctly.

if you keep the servo buzzing on the end points it will burn it out,put the wheels on full lock, thats all you need, now turn everything on and just reduce the end points as you did before, keep reducing it till the buzzing stops, just make sure you have full lock, the end point value probably wont be the same, but it doesnt mater

Cheers to all. Makes sense and will try solutions mentioned.
