Todays racing 2nd oct

Not a good day for some today,I broke a servo, chris blew his ESC and matts receiver died. :(:(:(

Trucks were flying again, top racing up front with them Durangos. :)

miura 02-10-2011 07:12 PM

Real shame about all that bad luck.I was looking forward to seeing you two racing again.Oh well i guess it`s a good excuse to spend some more money OUch!! on the wallet me thinks:cry:

Maddy 02-10-2011 07:24 PM

Should all be back to full strength next week i hope,it was the RTR servo so good excuse to get a metal geared servo :)

Si Coe 02-10-2011 07:38 PM

Gutted about having to leave early cos my Yokomo was flying today - it seems Schumacher Greens go better than yellows!
Truck class looking a bit too serious these days - lots of 4wd SCT's going round.....

Maddy 02-10-2011 07:41 PM

The rain came after you left si and stayed for the rest of the day :(
Big money going into those trucks now.

Deano 02-10-2011 08:09 PM

Yes, me and one of my lads are among the few running 2wd SCT, and he didn't bother coming today. Maybe we should call ourselves Team Peasant ?

Still had a good day though. Getting my SC10 dialled in bit by bit so might start giving them four by fours a run for their money some day.

Howler 02-10-2011 08:35 PM

Gonna have to see these Durango trucks. Can they survive a full speed hit from a 6.5lb Losi?:p

coleman758 02-10-2011 08:48 PM

I was gutted today!

The car was going great all day!, I managed to put it First in the "A"
but the lead was short lived, then the car died.

I think it was water. I tried it again when i got home and it was all fine??

Maddy 02-10-2011 08:53 PM

Your car was running sweet all day mate.
opened my servo and a million little pieces fell out :)

Those durangos dont have rear bumpers mate, But if your out front that wont bother you anyway :o

Big Show 02-10-2011 09:12 PM

today's racing.

Had a good day racing my SC10 for the first time. Managed $th place in all qualifying. Me and my lad had to leave early for a family thing so missed the finals. sorry we couldn't be thier to help pack up but will stay next time. A QUICK QUESTION OR PONDER. Are those Durango SC trucks really classed as SC trucks or shpuld they be classed as durango's on steriods, unfair handling and weight advantage over 2wd trucks ???

Cr3Ad 03-10-2011 05:21 PM

one tip dont reverse the polarity to a hobbywing esc there reverse protection doesnt work. they just smoke and run a lot slower :-( arwell back to brushed for a bit.
the blast handle really well in the first race (and only) the carbon top deck made a big difference

miura 03-10-2011 05:31 PM

Yeah your car was going great guns until the ultimate no no happened and then it went all t1ts up! after that.it was a shame really because it seemed much better than the previous week. You must have better luck with the brushed now!

Cr3Ad 03-10-2011 05:49 PM

i dont think the esc was good right from the start really after a few races it just seemed to overheat no matter what setup i run changed pinions and programs on the esc but it just kept cutting out so saving up time now get a better one

Bite the bullet mate brand new lrp sxx tc from Je spares £129.99 plus your 5% discount mines 2year old and never missed a beat £193.99 when I bought it and I'm still happy

Cr3Ad 03-10-2011 07:12 PM

i think its pot luck with the hobbywings if they work or not, and my lucky dip was not a good one, as budfish put "bite the bullet". im just gonna run brushed got a few motors left all good plus i have a lathe to keep em well gives me time to get a better esc i know people have different opinions on which are better so ill do some research on some of the good ones the lrp is in there along with the castles but mtroniks has always done me well on brushed are they good with brushless.

miura 03-10-2011 07:21 PM

I`m sure there is an Lrp in the for sale section at £75.I would say Lrp or Novak I wouldn`t bother with mtronik.I`m getting an Lrp :p ok i`ve no car to put it in as yet but pretty soon i will have!!

shortcoursegoat 03-10-2011 08:22 PM

the only chance a losi is getting to hit our rangos is when we are lapping it but dont blink or were gone :p
