losing my nuts
 

Front wheel nuts kept coming loose tonight,really annoying
Used blue threadlock on the axle threads (waited for it to dry) but still coming loose,any aftermarket nuts out there people are using or is it a case of stronger threadlock?

Speak to captainlip, or search his threads. This problem has been extensively covered:thumbsup:

Something will be binding up in your hub. Wheels don't just fall off. Something has to loosen the nut.
Check these in this order:

- Wheel, ensure the hex has not rounded off.
- Hex it's self, ensure that has not rounded off.
- Bearings, inner and outer. And ensure you have the crunch spacer in between the bearings.
- drive shaft pin, ensure there is no play there.
- nylock nuts, these are a must. Thy are far better than the normal serrated ones.

All the above will work in reverse to the power, and loosen your wheel nut.

Its a brand new 410,only its 2nd run last night,everything is in place & no wear
its the nylock nuts i need by the sound of it,do you have a link to them pleaee?

I never had a problem until recently. Almost every race my front left wheel kept coming off. I replaced the bearings and nut, but the problem persisted. Then I noticed that the wheel was not completely centric and had a slight wobble. I changed the wheel and hey-presto problem solved.

I find the serrated nuts are better than the nylock ones. But if you want to go the whole 9 yards then RC lazy has serrated nylocks available.

my 410 came with serrated nuts. I don't remember a wheel ever coming off... (without the drive pin breaking, always rear)

Ok, a guy at out club had the same problem, first time out every heat his wheel fell off. His problem was the front hub bearings had sized.

There has been a few problems with the older Durango bearing, hence maybe why the V3 ones are new.

But yea just double check the bearings. Like I said you can put the best wheel nuts on in the world, but if there is some binding in your hub they will just unscrew time and time again!

I had the same problem but mine wasnt bearing related, the hub had worn and the serrated nut wasnt gripping the hub either as it been used to much.
