Can you remove and reuse molded pinions
As the title ask's,is it possible as i,m upgrading the motor from a 280 to a 370 in my losi mini high roller, don't know what pitch the pinion is but looks similar to a mini t one. thanks jon kedge

Don't know exactly on that onem but you can with Scalextric ones, so would expect the same, but you're better off with an alloy pinion if poss.

You can with the mini t ones, but the more that you reuse them the more likely they are to slip.
I believe they are 2.3mm shaft on the losi motors and a lot of the aftermarket motors seem to be 2mm shaft so if it slips straight off then that could be the cause |
pinions
Thanks for the replies,i will measure the 370 shaft diameter and look for an alloy pinion but don't know where to get them from as it's all 1/10 pinions i have.Which shops do this micro stuff and what dp are the spurs on the losi,s ,

Well the mini t is 48dp
For 2mm shaft pinions I know www.tracksidespares.co.uk keeps the RC18 ones in stock |
I'm so stupid, RW Racing should have them, and if they don't, they can probably make them for you.
