A lot of peaple I know at racing use anti roll bars in the rear does this make a differance if so what size of bar as a starting point

I use the black (thinnest) from the B4 roll bar kit. You get everything you need except something to mount it to the shock tower with. I use the roll bar mounts from the Cougar SV. HTH :thumbsup:

its a length off 1.2mm brought from your lhs and bend to fit,
the mounts used are xxx4 roll bar kit,
the rest off the bits you should be able to find from your pit box:thumbsup:

I have some rods I could use to make a sway bar and have bits to make up the front fixings but does the bar go over the top of the turn buckle and whats the fixings like that fastens it to the back, or I may see if I can get a bar from someone at racing on sunday but wanted to sort it out before then

the roll bar goes under the camber link. I use the roll bar mounts from the Cougar SV - about £5 for 4 IIRC.

someone at SRCC says he doesnt use a bar I have only had the x6 a short time it was a conv kit. so I am not too sure if it will make any diffence. Wahts is everyones apinion on using a rear bar

I think the "team" setup is to always use one for Astro and Grass.

Yeah I defo run one at Southport, it really helps keep the car flatter and reduces the chances of grip roll which when it's dry is a real issue there. By the final my car was really good at the national with old style stagger fronts and trimmed rear spike. Not enough driver talent though was an issue.

I am in that video though, but only marshalling ;)

can anyone post the part numbers and companies of whats needed so i can get a roll bar and give it a try

Just buy the B4 rear anti roll bar kit,and to mount it cut a slot in the bulkhead with a junior hacksaw,then take a small angle from the rear bulkhead(one on each side),it only takes a few secounds with a Dremel type tool.The only other thing is to shorten the links so the two plastic ends screw up to one another.The kit is about a tenner and available from DMS or MK Racing-(you get three different thickness rollbars in the kit to choose from).If you look back through the old topics on here theres even some pictures and while your looking theres always a good chance youll see plenty of "other" things that will grab your attention,a marvellous bunch of people on here with plenty of help to hand!!:thumbsup: (Just had a look myself,go to page 3,and theres a picture also)

Thats how mine is done, I used a junior hacksaw to get a groove, then I used a triangular file to perfect to anti roll bar diameter.

The Schumacher part number for the roll bar fasteners is U3499.
