Big bores on Vega RB5

Anyone running Big Bores on their RB5 Vega?

How do you find them vs the standard bore shocks? And would you buy them again?

Thanks

I ask Kevin Lee about it and he said it doesn't worth it, talk about it with Fabs as the base of his MCS is not far from the Vega and he runs it and find that the car did not bottom out with them.

Thought about it but the car already handle very well so I guess my driving got to be up to it before I try them.
So far I'm not sure big bores are the way to go for 2wd 1/10, heard some people try them and went back to small bores as they got great setups already
and it works, on my 22 the Durango sb works better than stock.

I have them on mine, 40wt losi green front and 30wt losi pink rear. I can now gun it at jumps and power through bumpy sections without unsettling the car. I've had more crashless runs since fitting them.

Cheers Tony. Who's going to be running in the Vega team next year? I see there has been a couple of departures but suspect a couple of new signings too?

Seems like Big bores will probably be the way to go "long-term" then, especially as they are included in the new RB5 SP2 WC Limited kit...?

Kevin Lee and myself but I cannot reveal any new drivers for next year - That's up to Team Xtreme mate.

I didn't have enough time to develop the shock set up before the Nationals last year so I will do some back to back testing tis winter.
If I can get better lap times with big bores than set ups we already know are good then that's a step in the right direction...........

To be honest I find I can do this with the standard small bore versions.. the car is brilliant everywhere.

The crashes are normally my fault, not the car

How is the testing going with the BB's?

Would like to order a set with the correct pistons and springs for a high/medium astro track.

Cheers!
