What Spares to carry for Banger & Hotrod

Hi, our club has decided to run V12's this year over the Winter and beyond if their is enough interest. We are all new to Mardaves and are looking for advice on what spares to carry for Banger and Hotrod racing.? All comments and help appreciated. :)

A Arms, King Pins,Spur Gears and both sides of the rear pod thats all I carry with me.

Mind you its quite unusual that you actually break anything

its true...they dont brake....but bent kingpins are a pain but i have a cure for that!!!;)
oh,and spur gears.but with more power comes bigger brakages...like bent chassis.ask b+h about that.

The kamtec bumpers save a lot of A arms breakage

I didnt think you could use bumpers

If its your club and the members want to use them they can. Your not running a national event just a club night where brca rules do not need to be adhered to. I used one for my old club when I raced mardaves as did others.

Correct me if I`m wrong but at National events you could use a bumper on a hotrod as long as it was inside the car ( inside the bodyshell)

Not sure if its still the case as I havn't run the nationals for a few years !!!

From what I can gather, you cant use any bumpers at all. Bodgit is right though, I guess if its our club and its not a national race, we can do as we like. I just have a concern that it might put visiting racers off if our cars set up with an unfair advantage.

The bumpers dont give you an adavatage they just save you a few a arms now and again. As you are all starting off it would be great if you set a level field so you could all be competative with the same electrics so skill not who can throw the most money at it really counts.
These are great indoor cars and you will get a hell of a laugh out of them if your club does'nt take them too seriously.
As time goes by some of you may wish to use higher spec electrics in them. if that is the case you could have two seperate heats for standard and modified. Just enjoy them they are brilliant little cars.

its in your brca hand book-
bumpers to be non metallic and not protruding the shell,
personally i use foam as i find the plastic bumpers can pierce she shell and the foam softens the impacts aswell..

where in basingstoke?
