Cat SX2/3 12mm Hex Nuts??

Guys, I am thinking of getting one of the buggies, at our club we run them on Tarmac with control wheels/tyres, that use the regular Hex nut fitting.

I am informed that Schumacher don't use Hex Nuts, but on reading a manual online somehwere I believe I read that there is a mod to fit them.

Can anyone shed any light on this before I spend my hard earned cash??

Cheers

Peter

I'm not sure as haven't tried it, but you might will be able to fit Mi4 hexes on Cat. You'll might need to use some shims though. That's if you mean that you want to use wheels that have std 12mm.
If you need to mount front Losi/AE style wheels - best bet is to get schumacher hex for losi, or AE B44 hex for AE and JConcepts wheels

part number for the schumacher hexes for the cat are U3381- looks like they only list hexes for the front so i presume they will fit the rear too,
hope this helps.

but it's no good fitting the rear as there are no rear wheels with hex's to fit that size. Front and rear kyosho hex style rims have different hex sizes.

Sorry, I don't understand this.... The control wheel/tyre combination at my club are Ansmann both front/rear wheels use hex type fitting, the kyosho zx-5 I am running at the moment has hex nuts on both front and rear

which will both be 12mm, the part no for the cat hexes should be what you need

Cat hexes are not 12mm though. They are an imperial sized hex to allow you to run Associated/losi wheels which use a hex on the front wheel and a pin on the back.

As suggested before the touring car hexes could be made to fit. Or any style clamping hex could to be used I would have thought.
