Ian,

I ran a 6.5 novak in my XX4 with a sintered rotor and at 82/16, and it was still pretty warm mate. It all depends on the straight length, if your at Newbury indoors, I would run 82/17 tops!!!

So now outdoors with a 5.5R please, big straight but still need punch. 16/82?

markwilliamson2001 26-02-2008 09:42 PM

Nah you could go to an 18, maybe a 19 with 82 spur, if it has the sintered rotor.

I ran my bonded on 82/17 at kiddy, and it got as hot as I would have liked. 'They' seem to think you can run 2-3 teeth higher pinion (with sintered), so I would start on an 18 and see how it goes.
