Help with interference problem required!

Hi,
I have recently taken up 1/10th off road after over ten years racing 1/8th Rallycross, and im having trouble with interference glitching on my B44.1.
I use Futaba 3VCS transmitter with R203HF receivers, which do not cause any problems in any of my other cars, a Savox sc-1251mg servo, LRP sxx TC spec version 2 speedo, LRPX12 motor and LRP 500 50c cells. As I said I have never had any problems with the radio or receivers in any of my 1/8th cars, and the problem only occurs with the tenth, even with the car only 6-8 meters away it starts glitching. I have tried moving the receiver, the speedo, disconnecting the servo and walking across the field with the car, walking away with the car having the speedo and receiver in the palm of my hands so not in contact with any carbon, I even mounted the receiver on the wing just to try and prove a point but still the glitching occurs! Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Many thanks,
Barry.

I beleive the version 2 of that ESC is only compatible with 2.4g.

try a different servo? have heard of them causing a glitch before. If you disconnect it does the speedo glitch?

i dont know what it is about the savox but i had the same before i went to 2.4g........the car was fine untill i turned the steering then the speedo would glitch,i got the v2 and 2.4 and it went:thumbsup:

As Stu says, several new speedos are only compatable with 2.4

While it may be true that the V2 only works with 2.4 GHz systems, please note that he is using the Futaba R203HF receiver. That means HRS modulation and not standard PPM. HRS is three times faster than PPM and actually equally fast as several of the 2.4 GHz systems (in terms of latency/frame rate).

What happens when you disconnect the steering servo?

I had problems all year last year and couldn't pinpoint it.

Same transmitter as you. It ended up being the Nosram(technically the same as lrp) speedos I had.

I changed to a speed passion and I havne't had a problem since.

Thanks for your help and suggestions. With the servo disconnected the problem is exactly the same, the speedo still glitches. Its looking like 2.4 will be the way to go, however, I thought that using the HRS receivers would have had the same effect as 2.4, being a lot faster. I think I will be keeping my antenna on the transmitter though, it just doesnt seem the same racing with out it!

It might not be the speed of the signal that causes the interference, it could be the frequency therefore you still get interference despite the different setting
