Receiver fit in an Aero
Anyone who has driven the prototype know the dimensions?
I use futaba 2.4ghz receivers which are not very small! ALternatively, do any other receivers talk to futaba transmitters? |
My sanwa 2.4ghz wouldnt fit directly in, the Xtal (which is a button not an Xtal) is obviously in the way on one corner, the Steering plug is on another corner, and the aerial wire exits from the top of the case in another corner - making it impossile for a direct fit. I was going to dremel the steering link a little in order to clear the steering servo plug - but then I realised I could just drill a hole in the side of the case for the aerial wire to exit from the side instead. So now I've not had to modify the car at all the fit my receiver in - which made me happy. |
heres my electrics install

Jimmy you could loose the power cap ehind the speedo under the drive shaft and under the motor wires.

Only if it reaches, mine doesn't.
|
it reaches but theres no room for it - theres a centre chassis rib down there.
it took me ages to get it this neat - this is as far as I go! haha |
in that case i wont start moaning haha
|
Jimmy, you DEFINATELY need a Tekin R1Pro in there!!!!
|
haha, it would probably fit under the steering:lol:

Jimmy, not that you'll want to change it now, but you could turn the speedo around and stick the cap on top of the servo. It was also mean the wires are away from the spur too.
When are you test driving it then? |
get theraceplace to sort him out one, I got an R1 not in use, but not a Pro!
|
gonna race it first time (and drive it first time) at Oswestry nat!
|
Hope the car goes ok jimmy :)
|
it's awesome, I think it just needs a setup on it now
