Yungtong 4300's? any experiences?

As above really, they are probably the cheapest cells available on the EB list.

Has anyone used them? what did you find?

Thank you.

Chris Green 07-02-2008 07:39 PM

sorry, I don't have a link. Demon have them in stock.

someone posted a link from a US store recently too, they were £25 ish.

josh_smaxx 07-02-2008 08:09 PM

Canr find them on the demon site  But at that price if there any good then they might be worth a gamble :woot:

Chris Green 07-02-2008 08:52 PM

They aren't on the site yet. I e-mailed Nick to ask him.

They are about £30 per pack assembled in saddle formation.

6 quid a cell, just orded a set

I have just monitored a pack of the Yuntong 4300s (Matched from Demon) on my ProTrak.

At a constant 20A discharge, every cell remained above 1.2V until 620 seconds.
This compares with circa 500 seconds for a pack of EP4200s.

The overall duration (down to 1.0V per cell), is the longest I've seen of any pack, at 780 seconds.

Average discharge voltage throughout the first 300 seconds, is on a par with, (but not quite as high as) IB4200SVHs or EP4200 MII.

For the price, they are a steal!

Obviously I don't know about how long they will last, or how fragile they are, but they can't be as bad as last years IB4200s.

Are these the cells with the Pale blue shrink wrap?

losidan 21-02-2008 08:56 PM

I tested a pack of these cells sunday, i ran two races through them and they felt very fast. im really no expert with cells but they felt good to me, comparable to the ib's i have used. whether they hold this performance is yet to be seen. so far so good:)

jas_racing 23-02-2008 07:56 PM

Just ordered 3 packs so we shall see! :)

Chris Green 26-02-2008 07:26 PM

I'd appreciate it if you could keep me posted on your experiences.

Cheers.

Yes, I ran mine. A four cell pack in a 12th scale car.
To back up the results I had on the pro-trak, they are equally as fast as the IB4200s, and EP4200s which I was using.

Good VFM IMHO

just done a test on me trusty charger discharger and found yuntong 4300 to have vastly more capacity and very simalar voltage to my three packs of orion 4200 efra specs even though they are they same cell:eh?:apart from one chemical component i here they come out the same door so the yontong looks a steal:thumbsup:

Those cells look good, specially their price ! But I don't see them on the EFRA list. Are they under another name/brand ?

Only seem to be on the BRCA list, not sure how it works, if BRCA asks for a type of cell to be submitted, or someone supplies a cell to be included, possibly a bit of both, but anyway its the last cell on the BRCA list.

Gayo 10-03-2008 10:19 AM

Ah, OK. Not for me then :(
Thanks for the fast reply.
