vega stearing link
Hi,could someone let me know what the part number is for the vega steering link used on the kyosho vega, and what difference will it make to the way the car drives,
thanks |
Do you mean the link for the Kyosho FS?

Reg,
From what I learn from Kev and Matt it was a part to increase full lock on the Vega but as setups were optimized they manage to increase steering so the team did not use it anymore so the part will not be available (and is not needed anymore). Try short track if you need more steering (I don't) but you have to mod steering arm and steering brace ballcups/shims to avoid bumpsteer. Fabs use short track on his MCS for more steering. So far, as per Kev advises, I use short neck ball cup on the steering brace with no shim and regular ball cup with 1mm spacer on steering arms and got plenty of steering (especially with shorts links on the rear). Do you have tried short wheelbase and more inclined shocks for indoor as per Matt tips ? |

thanks rc_penguin:thumbsup:....... thanks tomtom.........i raced last friday night indoor on carpet,i ran Mats setup,as posted in the thread i started looking for a carpet setup, the only thing different was i ran yellow rear springs, plus i dont know if he runs washers on the rear hub canber link,i have 2mm,and not sure if his front hubs have the washer in front or behind, mine is infront,it is very good but i just struggled with hight speed understeer, the car was awsome in the twisty parts and i could pull away, but i had to back off before the fast corners, this is were they flew back behind me,i tried to take it faster but had to keep the wheels turned coming out the corner and up the straight just to keep the car out the wall:woot:.........like i say the medium to slow corners its spot,so im reluctant to change to much, would a stiffer rear spring help so the car doesnt push as much, |
Sorry ignore my post! I didn't know there was a different link tried on the Vega RB5, The part I was on about if for the kyosho fs 4wd. I just read your initial post a bit to quickly
