bargain haha

muratti 05-09-2011 10:19 AM

indeed :woot: but where else can you buy them? Seidel knows about his exclusiveness.

Fredrik Emilsson 05-09-2011 11:06 AM

Should cost ~27 euros, but what can you do...
At least they got the parts in stock.

fastinfastout 05-09-2011 11:16 AM

even by tamiya standards that is expensive. One of the main reasons why I sold my 502x. Could not stand the thought of spending $40 for something that looks like a 502x weakpoint, judging by its D4 like design.

I have about 10 front gearbox cases for the D4, just for this reason.

Look on ebay. There is a place in Japan selling them for about £20 + postage.

yes Seidel for 36euro plus 9.50 shipping (expensive)

I can not find them on ebay :(

You can not use the 502 for races it's too hard to get A parts :(
I will use my last 2 race the 511:thumbsup:

re

jamie makes a brace for the front tower, you should get that if you expect to break alot of a parts,

the parts are available its just the price that is high, to say it cant be raced because parts are not available is a bit far fetched.

good luck with it

Sadly not that far fetched...as far as I know Tamiya are out of stock, Tamiyausa are out of stock, and only one shop has them..and it is a weak spot on the car!

really:confused: I only did break some wishbones this year...

DaveG28 06-09-2011 05:03 PM

I ran the car from release last year until June...I did not crack a single front shock tower, but broke 4 front gearbox tops!

Basically, if you roll on astro at high speed this bit breaks instead of the shock tower, though it is pretty tough in that situation....my issue was if on landing a jump I ran into a crashed car (so I hit at downward angle) it snapped every time, broke 3 of the 4 this way:(

Shifta 06-09-2011 05:16 PM

I've ran the car for 9 months doing all N/E regionals and all nationals + some indoor racing and the only breakages I've had are wishbones  I think the 502 is solid and very reliable..

chris68nufc 06-09-2011 06:27 PM

Yep Chris gotta agree with you. It's a very reliable car and strong. Did all the Scottish outdoor series and did 1 shock bottom and 1 wishbone.

Mines been solid apart from after a head on collision with a b44 where I broke a front wishbone. Apart from that it's been fantastic.
