Euro Clubs running Astro Turf
 

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I wanted to get feedback from my RC Brothers and sisters across the pond.


I am exploring the possibility of starting up an indoor offroad track. We already have an indoor offroad Clay track in the area, but recently I have been intrigued with the European indoor tracks that utilize astro-turf and carpet. I'm not so sure about carpet and how well it would go over, but I like the idea of Astroturf. Wondering what clubs actually use the Astro-Turf and how your setups differ from dirt/clay? Do you like it better? what are the negatives?

I'm leaning toward a larger track for 8th scale electrics, which would make it usable for 10th scale as well. There aren't many places that will allow for larger scale buggys and truggys. I would keep it electric only.

Obviously lots of other details, but I wanted to sort out what type of track I should build first.
