No new, just an option like all other brand.
But I'm not sur it was very important.

If your running the standard spur/slipper pads these might be good for taking any heat built up away from the idle gear/s inside the gearbox??

I assumed that was the purpose of the part. Not had any problems in my son's but he is only running a 17.5T at the moment while he is still gaining experience.

I had a set fitted to my king rat, when I ran at Silverstone yesterday, don't think it I noticed any difference to the normal ones, not sure its worth it to be fair, I would drill some out yourself and try it.

done that years ago

All that does is keep the slipper pads clean just like ventillated discs on motorbikes by giving edges to slightly scrape the pads.It will lower the temp a bit but will also let dirt in ,standard work ok for me.

You obviously wern't driving hard enough Eric :D

I want ansmann to revise the slipper spring so my nut doesn't keep loosening itself off during a run. I have modified a slipper plate so you get more thread. Will have to run that and see if it make a difference.

Unfortunately Ansmann/Team C haven't drilled the vents in the correct pattern, you are still going to get stripes of glazing.

AE know what they are doing and have drilled them correctly.

This is what happens when a car is based on duplication not innovation.

Cheers for that Robbie!!:woot:

I fitted a old Losi slipper spring and plastic holder to mine and havent had a issue with the nut coming loose, maybe it is working as I didnt strip any middle gears on the day so maybe it is transferring the heat generated from the pads fine.
