rb5 sp2 servo saver spring
 

Hi,i seem to have a problem with my steering,when the car is stood still,the steering wont go on full lock untill i push the car foward,the servo saver is done up as tight as i can as to still have the bearing sitting inside the adjuster,but the spring is still to soft and is letting the servo saver open when im trying to get the car to turn in,then it will snap shut,this is what i think is giving me unpredictable steering and snap oversteer,
do i undo it to what it says in the book or is there a stiffer spring,

I have mine setup like that and don't have an issue, so it's a strange one. Have you disconnected from the servo and checked there is no binding anywhere?

iv disconnected and there is no binding,looking at it again its the last bit of the steering throw,with no power to the sevo,when i move the servo so i have full lock the wheel that is turned out has lots of play but the steering rack doesnt move,but the wheel that is turned in has no play,the last bit of the steering on the inside wheel has a big dead spot,

Ah ok.. I found that if you use a short neck ballstud on the drag link it improves this. The problem is that at full lock the pivot pin on the hub, the balljoint on the arm, and the balljoint on the drag end up inline before the inner wheel gets to full lock. With the short ballstud it pulls it round more.
