What do I buy?

Hi, I use to race 1/10th Elec Off Road going back 15yrs ago and I looking to get back into the hobby but racing 1/8th Rally X. I have looked at the Hobao Hyper 8.5 & 9 because they seem good value for money.

I am looking for something that is fairly competitive to get back into racing, am I looking at the right ones?

Thanks

What's your budget ?

Losi have over taken everything, loads of people use them ! Go to your local club, see what is run more than anything else.

I have an Agama, apparently they're the way to go

i would go for the losi rtr if your just starting,i brought one a few months ago and i love it,the rtr deal is such good value for money.the car is competative out the box pretty much straight away, although i would recomend changing the servos as they are gash tbh.the engine on these cars is awesome for an rtr and will keep up with most cars on track, there are a few things that will need changing on it for strength,e.g the plastic shock caps for metal ones, the shock towers for eu or race roller ones, other than that you can race it straight away.all for £450 bargain as you get the starter box and the spektrum dx3s radio gear.if you have lots of money then buy an losi 2.0 eu kit and a decent engine and radio gear and you'll have an awesome car,you cant go wrong with a losi as loads of people run them and the spares are everywhere.but it is worth while going to your local club and having a chat with the racers to get advice.

hope this helps dave:)
