DEX210 internal gear ratio

The spur gear is 87t (48dp) if I'm not wrong. But what about the int gear ratio for both mid and rear config.

Andrew Twigger 20-08-2011 08:21 PM

Durango told me the ratio is 2.6:1. 3/4 gear config. was not specified so on that basis one would presume it is the same for both? Happy to be corrected though.

RW racing also do spurs in other sizes

It can only be the same, number/size of idlers does not affect the ratio.

unless the idler gears are different sizes

Big G 21-08-2011 10:29 AM

still doesn't make any difference even if they are different sizes.

at the end of the day (god I hate that saying) it's the layshaft cog size against the diff cog size. what's in the middle doesn't matter.

I think you find it does, only if there's a belt between them it doesn't. :p

discostu 21-08-2011 02:28 PM

why would a belt make any differnce the calculation is layshaft divided by diff=internal ratio.

Idlers make no difference to ratio, no matter of size. Only gears driven by or driving a shaft affect the ratio.

Wrong thread

Doh, just found a web page and I stand corrected. :bored:
