To Mr B (you know who you are :p)

would be nice if you could get some updated results posted on here.
Other club sites seem to paste a link to central booking or something similar.

so wabs....wots the latest scores:confused::cry:

TimMac 24-09-2011 04:33 PM

looking at the old scores, how does the points system work, cos i know i hav won a few races yet the highest score i have got is 28....as apposed to the others getting 30?

Simion Wabs 24-09-2011 04:47 PM

Hi Tim
in essence, you get 30 points for recording the most laps on the night during the finals and also in qualifying. So if you win the B final with say 35 laps and the A finalists only score 34 laps then on the night you will score 30points for finishing the finals with the most laps. Effectivly what you have done is finished 1st in an A final but we had two finals on the night and in the previous final more laps were achieved by two other drivers hence you scored only 28points despite winning the final.
So maximum points gained during teh night is 60 (30+30). Best qualifying laps across the two heats and best final laps recorded across both finals if two are ran.
Hope that makes sense:thumbsup:

The scores are different to most other places that have specific points for each final (A, B etc) in order to make it fairer.

Basically, as Simon says, the heats are there really to just split up the cars rather than a 'A' class and 'B' class etc. If you do bad in qualifying and so you are last in the B final, you can still win overall in the finals.

Simion Wabs 28-09-2011 02:07 PM

more of a time trial final than an actual race

p.s. welcome to the forum Baldy1986

Race Nights at Innsworth

Just a reminder for all drivers, the hall is no longer being opened for us as we now have our own keys! That means that the hall will be opened by either me (Ashley) or Steve. I aim to arrive at 7.00pm, as does Steve. It is unlikely either of us will be there before that so save yourselves a wait in the cold and arrive no sooner than 7.00. We now have keys for the adjoining school car park and the side entrance so parking should no longer be a problem. See you on Friday! Ashley Wirdnam

@ Ashley,

I have changed the club details on the "sticky" to state 7pm onwards as opposed to 6:30pm onwards.

Glad to hear we have the keys for the adjacent carpark although this will lead to more people leaving before the track is cleared :(

With every positive there is always a negative :)

Not if Steve locks the gates with all the cars inside until the track has been put away...

I like to be at the club early and Chris G is usually there for 6:30 so between us I don’t have a problem opening up as long as I am not the last one every night packing up and locking up. Obviously we will sort something when we are racing away in the Summer.

Any chance of this seasons results being posted reg? or atall would be nice :)
