Cogging help
 

Hi guys.

So i was running my Hong nor in the Swiss mountains today and i noticed a large amount of cogging on my castle creations sct system. Sometimes i had lots and sometimes none at all. Mostly when i was turning on grass or when i was running it slow.

Can anybody help me please?

Running on a 2s lipo 5800mah turnigy nano tech pack.

anyone? once when i hit full throttle it made a horrible cogging sound then it went off ?

I also shortened my esc and motor cables but i dont think that would effect it?

Or maybe the magnets in the motor are very strong and its normal for it to make a cogging sound at low speed or sometimes when i start of?

is it? I never got any cogging in my firestorm flux or my losi desert truck with a ezrun bl system.

a lot of cogging problems on sensorless systems can be solved by altering the timing. usually most people (i.e. bashers) will install it & whack the timing up as high as possible to get the car to go like buggery but usually the cogging will be a side effect, simply altering how much timing you have will stop the cogging.

Hi thanks for the advice. When my car is turned off and i just push it along there is a lot of cogging noice. Even when its off? is that normal?.

Problem fixed, Contacted Castle and its normal for it to Cog at Low speed due to the motor magnets being quite strong.
