LRP Motor Cooling set

Hello,

I've bought an LRP motor cooling set to install it on my LRP Vector Χ-11 motor.
It's this one: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXRXY6&P=SM

My question is where should I connect the plug for the cooling fan? It's the same as a BEC connector.

Has everyone put the same cooling kit on a B44? Is it ok or I'll have to cut the body shell?:(

Thanks in advance

just plug it into a spare reciever slot

or you could wire it to the +ve and -ve battery connection on your speedo.

whichever way works best for you.

Thanks for the answer ;)

Unfortunately my receiver is tooooo old (Futaba AM@27MHz) and has not a spare slot.

So, your second way is to connect it directly by soldering the cooler's power wire on the ESC's input cable? There the voltage is 7.2V and the cooler is only 6V.

My idea is to put a Y-harness on the BEC (6V) cable of the ESC (like this one: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXSGN3&P=SM). Is this way right?

It looks like the fan kit you have bought is the larger one, usually used for touring cars, its going to be a bit of a squeeze in your B44! there are much smaller fans available without the heatsink that may fit in a little better.....:)

I'm not sure about the Y plug, sorry never tried it, i'd imagine it would work but not sure about voltages etc & yu dont want to be setting yourself up for interference..
